Warren County:

The contract between Warren County Fire Response and Life Safety Council of Governments and Greater Cincinnati Hazmat Unit was approved and became effective 6/24/2009. GCHMU will provide service to Warren County businesses and residents and also have Units housed in the Warren County area. We look forward to working with the Warren County community. A trailer has been reconfigured to meet the needs of the team and is being housed in Deerfield Township at the Deerfield Twp Fire Station on Kings Mills Road . This Unit will be designated as Unit 304 and can be dispatched through the Hamilton County Communications Center.  A second trailer will be re configured to resemble the first and will be housed at the City of Franklin Division of Fire Station. This Unit will be Unit 305 and should be functional in about 90 days.

Fairfield Fire Department:

The City of Fairfield Fire Department has converted their Emergency Response Trailer into an absorbent trailer. This trailer is available to anyone needing absorbents. The trailer is fully stocked with booms, pads (all varieties), overpacks, a variety of granulated absorbents and much more. You can request the trailer through Hamilton County dispatch by requesting a GCHMU Duty Officer or through the City of Fairfield by calling 513-659-2066.

Membership: Anyone interested in joining Greater Cincinnati Hazmat please contact the office at 513-263-8209 or by email at brooke.wright@cincinnati-oh.gov.  Upon completion of all paperwork, make sure you fax, email or mail back ­all required documents.

2010 GCHMU Training Schedule Dates: A training schedule with training topics and locations will be emailed out the first January to all GCHMU team members and adjunct members. A listing will also be posted on the GCHMU website.
