GCHMU responds at the request of the Incident Commander. We offer 3 types of Responses: Administrative Response, Administrative Consultation and a Full team Response.Below are details describing each type of response.
Administrative Response
Only a Duty Officer responds to the scene and provides expertise in mitigation.
Administrative Consultation
A Duty Officer provides the Incident Commander with resources and information such as contact with a chemist, cleanup contractor, etc.
Full Team Response
Response by Duty Officer, Chemists, Technicians, and apparatus. Entry into the scene is necessary. Response is made by Duty Officers, Chemists and Technicians.

GCHMU must be requested by Fire Department Incident Commander. We will never self dispatch.
